About the Bridge Authority

In July 2023, a new public agency began overseeing the bridge replacement project.

Authority role:

  • Oversee design and construction of the new bridge

  • Manage operations, maintenance and toll-setting once the new bridge is open

  • Sole access to new toll revenue, and decision-making authority over those funds

Representation: The bridge authority has a board of six voting commissioners, with Klickitat County and Hood River County appointing three members each. Read the full announcement.

Bridge Authority Meetings

The Hood River-White Salmon Bridge Authority meets from 2-4 p.m. the second and fourth Monday of every month at the HRWSB office at 1000 E Jewett Blvd, Suite 204, White Salmon, WA. The meetings are open to the public. Those interested may also join via Zoom with this link.
